Monaco Office Moved

The Monaco Office has moved into new, larger, premises just around the corner from the previous offices, with additional storage for customer files and a better view over the harbour and the Grand Prix course.

MobileGenius Initiative

A three year development plan, entitled the MobileGenius Initiative has been set in motion to increase the integration between Genius and Java. It covers areas from Java Swing interaction clients to generating java for user EasyGenius programs. For further details please contact Margaret.

Internationalisation Initiative

New languages are being added to the existing English and French language support in the Genius solution. The next language being added is Spanish, with support for Simplified Chinese to come in 2005.

AMD64 Development Announcement

The AMD64 architecture versions of the Genius solution are currently being developed for Microsoft Windows XP 64 Extension and Linux.

Itanium Development Announcement

Intel IA-64 architecture versions of the Genius solution are currently being developed for Microsoft Windows XP 64 and Linux 64, with follow-on versions for HP-UX, OpenVMS and TRU64 Unix as these operating systems are released over the period 2004-2005. See the latest e-letter

Enhanced Intranet features

The latest version of the Genius solution generates valid XHTML scripts for enhanced portability of generated reports. Like easyGeniusQuery and infoGenius, both presenterGenius and the corporateGenius Pageprinter can now generate reports in XHTML format.

presenterGenius offers a choice between ActiveX DirectAnimation objects and the new W3C standard for Scaleable Vector Graphics (SVG), to produce all the familiar graph formats through Internet Explorer 4 or later.

As well as easyGenius Query PRINTed reports, both PAGEPRINTed and PLOTted reports can now be run as CGI scripts, and easyGenius Query supports XML output with the choice of DTD or XML-XDR Schema.
